Tart with Tête de Moine AOP, egg, bacon and cheese curls

Tart with Tête de Moine AOP, egg, bacon and cheese curls

For 4 people
1 hour

  • 1 sheet of chilled puff pastry
  • 125 g crème fraîche
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 3 eggs
  • Tête de Moine AOP
  • Fresh chives
  • Salt and pepper

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (forced-air) and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Place the sheet of puff pastry on the baking tray.
  3. Mix the crème fraîche with the paprika and spread over the puff pastry.
  4. Arrange the slices of bacon over the dough and bake in the middle of the oven for 15 minutes.
  5. Break the eggs over the tart and return the baking tray to the oven for 10 minutes.
  6. Make some attractive curls from the Tête de Moine AOP and dot over the tart as soon as it comes out of the oven.
  7. Sprinkle with fresh chives, salt and pepper and serve immediately.

Tart for breakfast, but with a twist: the tart combines the best of both worlds. A deliciously simple dish with all the ingredients of a ‘normal’ breakfast, but cooked in the oven.
